WSC Track Camps

2026 Pole Vault Camps

This is a developmental clinic to help become a better athlete and coach.  The clinic is designed to teach techniques, offer constructive criticism, and give assistance in a workout environment.

Cost: $33 per Participant
($30 + $3 Fee)

Time Schedule

8:00 - 8:30 a.m. Check-In
8:30 - 8:50 a.m. Warm-Ups - Split Into Groups

Group 1 - Beginners/Intermediate

9:00 a.m. Approach / Runway Drills on track
10:00 a.m. Plant Drills with slide boxes / towels
11:00 a.m. Pop-ups / Short Approach Vaults
12:00 p.m. Camp Ends

Group 2 - Advanced

9:00 a.m. Approach / Runway Drills into Pits
10:00 a.m. Plant Drills with slide boxes / towels
11:00 a.m. Pop-ups / Short Approach Vaults
12:00 p.m. Camp Ends

Location: Wayne State College Wildcat Dome - Indoor Track

What To Bring:

  • Workout Clothes
  • Spikes (1/4" max length)
  • Must have own poles

Included:

  • Pole Vault drills by HS coaches
  • Technique & Skill Instruction
  • Runway approach work
  • Pole Vaulting into pits

COACHES

  • MARLON BRINKWAYNE STATE COLLEGECoach Brink is in his 26th year as the head coach of WSC XC/TF.
  • TRAVIS KAMMWAYNE STATE COLLEGECoach Kamm is in his 14th year as the sprints/hurdles/jumps coach at WSC.
  • TERRY GLENN – Norfolk Catholic HS PV Coach. Coaching since 2001. Has had over 30 State Medalists.
